This is not your typical wedding bands. Showcasing “his-and-hers” steel-blue spinel and baby pink spinel rings. We call them the LifeBands. This pair of modern bespoke wedding band set is not to be found in stores.
Born out of the idea of creating a simple, unique yet 100% wearable design on a daily basis, brainstorming with the couple, the wedding bands designs were eventually translated from paper to life.
An apparently simple design is much harder to craft than one might imagine.
The ladies’ ring, features an exquisite baby pink spinel that is seemingly suspended in mid-air and the gents’ ring has a bezel-set gorgeous steel-blue spinel.
With minimal use of diamonds, but the main focus on the construction and curvature of gold work, we were able to create a stunning, unique yet very wearable style for the couple.
Oftentimes, our clients’ feedback during the design-stage discussion is that they see something beautiful in-store, a unique design, but it is not something that they can see themselves wearing regularly or daily. Because it is so unique, it seems wearable only for that few occasions – thereafter, it becomes somewhat dated / boring.
And that was our mission for this pair of bands. For “life-wear”, it had to be unique yet wearable for the rest of their lives, something classy yet different. A modern bespoke wedding band set to accompany this wedded couple for life.

Being able to wear one’s engagement ring together with the wedding band seamlessly is a beautiful affair.

This exceptional unheat sapphire is almost 3 cts, in a tinge of blue just slightly darker than a medium electric blue. This blue can be described as cobalt blue. Well-cut and properly faceted means that one is able to see the many facets of the sapphire, even after it has been mounted onto the ring.
Below: When the wedding band is slipped through the finger, it sits seamlessly with the engagement ring, and with no gaps in between both rings. This effect is typically achieved if the request is made with your jeweller right at the onset of customising the engagement ring – that you would wish for your wedding band and engagement ring to sit together seamlessly.

While there is no hard and fast rule to the thickness of the wedding bands, here at Heritage Gems, we believe that wedding bands should not be cast too thin. Our wedding bands are crafted in solid gold with good thickness to last you a lifetime.
