Ever had a bunch of old jewellery items that need refreshing, but you’re not quite sure what to do with them? Would you like to redesign your old jewellery to a piece that you can wear with most of your wardrobe? Often, re-designing your old jewellery allows you to keep the memory alive in a design you would see yourself wear more often.
Below is an example of an old diamond ring and diamond ear studs that have been well-worn over the years and the owner wanted to have it re-designed into something else.
Is it not beautiful after being re-designed and re-set into a diamond cross pendant? Re-styling into a piece that can be worn daily without being overly ostentatious. Simple, classy and elegant.
It is not at all complicated to redesign your old jewellery. Drop us at email at: email@example.com and let’s get some ideas for you.

This is not your typical wedding bands. Showcasing “his-and-hers” steel-blue spinel and baby pink spinel rings. We call them the LifeBands. This pair of modern bespoke wedding band set is not to be found in stores.
Born out of the idea of creating a simple, unique yet 100% wearable design on a daily basis, brainstorming with the couple, the wedding bands designs were eventually translated from paper to life.
An apparently simple design is much harder to craft than one might imagine.
The ladies’ ring, features an exquisite baby pink spinel that is seemingly suspended in mid-air and the gents’ ring has a bezel-set gorgeous steel-blue spinel.
With minimal use of diamonds, but the main focus on the construction and curvature of gold work, we were able to create a stunning, unique yet very wearable style for the couple.
Oftentimes, our clients’ feedback during the design-stage discussion is that they see something beautiful in-store, a unique design, but it is not something that they can see themselves wearing regularly or daily. Because it is so unique, it seems wearable only for that few occasions – thereafter, it becomes somewhat dated / boring.
And that was our mission for this pair of bands. For “life-wear”, it had to be unique yet wearable for the rest of their lives, something classy yet different. A modern bespoke wedding band set to accompany this wedded couple for life.
A stand-out in its own right.
A proposal ring does not have to be blue.
Pastel pinks make for pretty and romantic engagement rings. Seen here is a round, unheat pastel pink sapphire, flanked by 4 pieces round diamonds set in a wave design with a heart-shape detailing on the cross-section. In 18K white gold.
Petite and dainty yet fuss-free, this design is evergreen which allows most of the attention to be focussed on the unheat pink sapphire.
A special pair of pyrope-almandine garnet ear drops. Set in 18K white gold with a nice mix of pear shapes, marquise and round diamonds, we create a very pretty pair of earrings in a romantic style.
This pair of earrings was created as a part of a bride’s wedding fine jewellery set, to be worn with the bridal gown. Set in a design that is special enough to be worn with her bridal gown on the actual day, yet not overly complicated that it cannot be worn more frequently thereafter, brainstorming such a design requires the art of intricate balance.
If you like a red gemstone, no need to yearn for a ruby (heat or unheat). The price of a unheated ruby is out-of-reach for most. So, will one settle for a heated ruby? Why would you? The price of a heated ruby is still far more pricey than most or all other types of red gemstones which are unheat, untreated and 100% natural. So why pay the high price for a gemstone that is heated, ruby or otherwise?
Below is a list of red gemstones that are usually available as an unheated, untreated and 100% natural gemstone:
- Red Garnet
- Rhodolite Garnets (exist often in shades of purple or magenta, similar to the colour of wine, but they do come in red hues as well)
- Red Beryl
- Red Spinel
With the use of fancy shape diamonds, one is assured that it is an entirely customised piece of art. Hardly seen in your typical off-the-shelf fine jewellery, fancy shape diamonds help to create a piece of wearable art that is uniquely yours.

This beautiful, customised wedding band set gives new meaning to the term: Trilogy Wedding Band Set.
Our client who had first customised her unheated sapphire engagement ring with us had subsequently requested a 2-piece stackable diamond wedding band in 18K Rose Gold. This stack allows the bride to wear them singly or together on one 1 finger or one band on each finger.
The groom-to-be had requested for a truly unique wedding band. Looking for a design that reminds him of a river stream and more importantly, preferring a raw, organic look.
Set in a industrial, raw, and unpolished natural gold finish; this wedding band is truly a one-of-a-kind design. As the groom says “no matter which direction I turn my ring, no two facets are the same. So everyday, I see something new. It is truly a unique piece.”
Every element of this entire engagement-cum-wedding band set is 100% natural and borne out of Mother Nature. From the alloy used to create the natural gold band, to the diamonds and finally, the unheated, untreated sapphire.
Truly a romantic and beautiful trilogy wedding band set.
Congratulations on being a proud owner of a fine piece of jewellery from Heritage Gems! Our pieces are individually handcrafted to the finest quality standards that will withstand that test of time. However, before you go off and start banging your ring or bracelet on your kitchen sink, one should know by now that fine jewellery deserve to be treated with care and love. So please read on below on tips for caring for your fine jewellery by Heritage Gems.
- LIFO: Last In, First Out. Fine jewellery should usually be the last item you wear before leaving the house and the first item out when arriving back home.
- Avoid doing house chores and manual labour or washing the dishes with fine jewellery (especially those with diamonds or gemstones mounted on).
- Gently wipe jewellery with the cleaning cloth provided by Heritage Gems
- Do not clean jewellery with any type of chemicals, cleaning agents, harsh solvents, harsh liquids
- If, and only if, one has to absolutely wash your jewellery, just rinse with mild hand-soap as how one would wash your hands regularly with mild hand-soap.
- Store your jewellery in the jewellery box that came with during purchase.
Unbeknown to many, while diamonds are durable, they are not invincible to knocks and scratches. Diamonds are able to chip if exposed to knocks over sharp edges or surfaces.
Finally, as with all things, fine jewellery will develop scratches over time which is a natural process of wear and tear. To restore brand new shine to your jewellery, re-plating and polishing is always possible.
A truly unique engagement ring. Medium electric blue unheat sapphire in a 18K pink gold setting. Not very obvious at first glance that it is set in 18K pink gold. However, do a quick flip of the finger, and the subtle hint of pink gold becomes obvious. The devil is in the details.
This saturated “electric” blue sapphire has a slightly “creamy” lustre and a colour so intense, it beautifully complements that pinkish hue of the ring setting.
Unheat sapphires in this intense blue colour in large sizes (sizes larger than 4 cts) is becoming so increasingly difficult to source. When one chances upon this shade of intense “electric” blue, size and shape as determining criteria start to take a backseat. Quality of a fine gemstone is determined largely by colour, clarity and lustre.
Below: Unheat medium “electric” blue loupe-clean sapphire set in 18K Pink Gold
An ice-blue frosty unheat blue sapphire engagement ring just in time for a christmas proposal.
In the most unusual square-cushion hybrid shape and far from boring, this unheat sapphire ring is as stunning and as it is eye-catching.
Notice no area of the sapphire is facet-less. No area of the sapphire is overly dark nor excessively colourless. A well-faceted, fine quality unheat sapphire ring.
With a setting that resembles that of a lotus flower, this makes a gorgeous and classy engagement ring.
Choose between ear studs or dangling earrings. Wherever possible, we always love adding abit of flexibility to our jewellery. Especially since we’ve already splurged on these rocks, it is always good to get as much mileage out of them as possible.
3ct heart shape diamonds on each side with 2 pcs natural south sea pearls in a detachable format.
Wear these diamond hearts as ear studs or…
as pearl drops!
Classy and fabulous at the same time, these will never fail to turn heads.
