Seamless engagement-wedding band set

Being able to wear one’s engagement ring together with the wedding band seamlessly is a beautiful affair.

We are honoured and had the pleasure of handcrafting this beautiful seamless wedding band set for a very special couple.

Below: Unheated Royal Blue Sapphire and Diamond Ring set in 18K white gold.

This exceptional unheat sapphire is almost 3 cts, in a tinge of blue just slightly darker than a medium electric blue. This blue can be described as cobalt blue. Well-cut and properly faceted means that one is able to see the many facets of the sapphire, even after it has been mounted onto the ring.

Below: When the wedding band is slipped through the finger, it sits seamlessly with the engagement ring, and with no gaps in between both rings. This effect is typically achieved if the request is made with your jeweller right at the onset of customising the engagement ring – that you would wish for your wedding band and engagement ring to sit together seamlessly.

Below: Pair of solid 18K white gold wedding bands with personalised engraving on both wedding bands. While there is no hard and fast rule to the thickness of the wedding bands, here at Heritage Gems, we believe that wedding bands should not be cast too thin. Our wedding bands are crafted in solid gold with good thickness to last you a lifetime.

If you would like to create your seamless engagement-wedding band set, request for this with us at your first appointment so that we can customise both bands to fit each other during the design consultation and discussion stage.

Saturated unheat blue sapphire in 18K Pink Gold

A truly unique engagement ring. Medium electric blue unheat sapphire in a 18K pink gold setting. Not very obvious at first glance that it is set in 18K pink gold. However, do a quick flip of the finger, and the subtle hint of pink gold becomes obvious. The devil is in the details.

This saturated “electric” blue sapphire has a slightly “creamy” lustre and a colour so intense, it beautifully complements that pinkish hue of the ring setting.

Unheat sapphires in this intense blue colour in large sizes (sizes larger than 4 cts) is becoming so increasingly difficult to source. When one chances upon this shade of intense “electric” blue, size and shape as determining criteria start to take a backseat. Quality of a fine gemstone is determined largely by colour, clarity and lustre.

Ice-Blue Unheat Sapphire

An ice-blue frosty unheat blue sapphire engagement ring just in time for a christmas proposal.

In the most unusual square-cushion hybrid shape and far from boring, this unheat sapphire ring is as stunning and as it is eye-catching.

Notice no area of the sapphire is facet-less. No area of the sapphire is overly dark nor excessively colourless. A well-faceted, fine quality unheat sapphire ring.

With a setting that resembles that of a lotus flower, this makes a gorgeous and classy engagement ring.

Flaming orange beauty

It is possible to create beautiful jewellery with semi-precious gemstones.

Orange moonstones complements the yellow gold beautifully – sprinkled with an assortment of rubies, yellow sapphires, amethysts creating a very unique pair of ear studs.

This pair of ear studs carry well from day to evening wear elegantly without being too garish.

Aquamarine Lapel Pin

Unique in its setting and cut of gemstone, this kiwi-shaped lapel pin is unlike any other.

This particular aquamarine, in a very calming blue is unlike most aquamarines that one sees in shops.

Custom-designed in 18K white gold, to be worn as a lapel pin on a gent’s coat or jacket, it is beautifully designed as a push-stud concept making it practical and safe for its owner to wear.

For the refined gent who likes getting suited up with a touch of class. Understated finesse is the key word our client was going for in the commissioning of this lapel pin.

Pink Sapphire Engagement Ring

Pink sapphires are less commonly available than blue sapphires. Which makes for a very unique proposal ring. No less important nor inferior to the blue sapphire, pink sapphires come in delightful shades of pastel pink, medium pinks and hot pinks. One would also sometimes come across pink sapphires with tinge of purple. This colour is also beautiful – which is a story for another time.

Unheated pink sapphires are more rare and less commonly seen than unheated blue sapphires. Prices of unheated pink sapphires are catching up with that of unheated blues in recent years. Make no mistake – a pink sapphire should never be compared to a ruby. They are 2 entirely different colours altogether. Neither should a pink sapphire be viewed “as the paler sister of the red ruby”. A hot pink sapphire is definitely not paler than a ruby.

Set in a simple, uncomplicated setting, below is a pink sapphire that exhibits a nice medium pink shade. With such a nice medium pink, good lustre and loupe clean, this makes for a very pretty and romantic engagement ring.

Diamond and pearl ear drops

Choose between ear studs or dangling earrings. Wherever possible, we always love adding abit of flexibility to our jewellery. Especially since we’ve already splurged on these rocks, it is always good to get as much mileage out of them as possible.

3ct heart shape diamonds on each side with 2 pcs natural south sea pearls in a detachable format.

Wear these diamond hearts as ear studs or…

as pearl drops!

Classy and fabulous at the same time, these will never fail to turn heads.

All things green

Green never fails to exude an air of mystery – and like all coloured gemstones, no 2 shades of coloured gemstones are exactly the same. Herein lies the beauty of coloured gemstones.

Here, we have paired a green tourmaline with green tsavorites for our client. The green tourmaline displays a beautiful moss-green, which nicely balances the apple-green of the tsavorites.

When pairing more than one colour or hue on the same piece of jewellery, if not done properly, could appear gaudy. Hence, when trying to create fine jewellery involving multiple shades of colours, it is best done under the discussion and consultation of a jewellery professional.
