On showcase will be our new collections of Spinels in a variety of colours, Blue Sapphires, Yellow Sapphires, Mandarin Spessatites, Tsavorite Garnets, Malaia Garnets, Padparascha Sapphires.
Also on display is our latest ready to wear collection featuring pearls, rubies and sapphires.
2016 is definitely a year for the Spinels as it makes its mark to be added to the list of birthstones. Newly minted as the August birthstone by the Jewelers of America and American Gem Trade Association (AGTA), Spinels have always and will continue to capture the hearts of many. With such a variety of colours available and most Spinels generally being rather eye-clean, having good lustre and ranking 8 on the MOHs scale, they make for fantastic jewellery. Just for reference, Sapphires rank 9 and diamonds rank 10 on the MOHs scale.
We love working with Spinels and featured below is a pink Spinel engagement ring that one can hardly say no to.
Set in beautiful champagne pink gold, this ring is definitely a charmer. Unique choice of gold colour which makes it special as a promise ring. More beautiful than a Pink Sapphire, this bespoke spinel engagement ring is truly magical in its own right. Most spinels are unheat, which makes them all the more to love!
A piece by Heritage Gems: Always classy, forever timeless.
No one said that diamonds were a necessity in creating your perfect engagement ring. And that was the wish of this client, who wanted a simple, romantic design which they could call their own.
The devil is in the construction and detailing of this ring. Unlike the typical construction of a ring that uses at least 2 or more separate pieces/parts of gold to create, this ring design uses only 1 long strip of intertwining gold. This symbolises the love between 2 people; and for each other. There is no breakage nor joining of gold in the construction of this ring design. It is a simple, organic and very clean look for this unheated sapphire ring. After all, the intensity of this royal blue sapphire speaks for itself.
What a spectacular, refreshing colour on this peridot. Almost vivid green, this peridot caught the eye of an endearing husband looking to gift his wife for her birthday, handcrafted fine jewellery. Though not just simply fine jewellery, but he was looking for a piece that features her birthstone.
Peridot is the birthstone of those born in August – the best colours of peridots come in vivid green with a tint of gold.
Though “classified” as a “semi-precious” gem, this does not mean the gem is any less striking or beautiful than a “precious” gem. A true sparkler that will light up a room just as much as any precious gemstone.
Again, true to our in-house quality, this peridot meets our minimum in-house requirement of colour, brilliance, lustre, clarity and cut.
Regardless of size, colour is the most important criteria, followed by brilliance and clarity when it comes to assessing a gem. Though smaller than the usual size of an engagement ring, this unheated sapphire meets all our in-house requirements. A deep royal blue colour – fitting of the lady who spearheaded the hunt for her unheated sapphire engagement ring. We hope she loves her ring.
